Mindful Making Workshop
A one time, 2.5 hour, meditation and wheel throwing workshop.
This workshop begins with a 10 minute guided meditation and breathing exercise designed to ease the transition between daily life and the initiation of the creative process.
Classroom instruction includes a 20-30 minute demo and ~2 hours of assisted play time. Participants are guided with verbal and hands on instruction to help them become familiar with the throwing process. Participants can throw as many pots as they would like in the time available. They can then choose their favorite 3 to keep.
Following the completion of the workshop, staff trims and glazes the pieces. Completed pots are ready for pickup 3 weeks after the workshop date. Completed pots are stored in a locked locker outside of the studio and available for pickup 24/7.
