Membership Benefits

Studio Access

Centered members enjoy unlimited open studio access and the freedom to explore their artistic vision. Studio hours run from 7 am - 10pm daily.

Members are welcome in the studio during scheduled classes and workshops, but may not have access to a wheel. Classes are held Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6-9 pm. Workshops are typically held on Saturdays from 6-8:30 pm, but additional workshops and community events may be added occasionally. Our priority is maintaining flexible member access and additional events would be for community building efforts only.

Membership is $300/month and includes two 24” x 48” shelves.

Material Fees

Material fees are assessed individually to allow artists to choose what they want to purchase from the studio, versus what they want to procure from their own source.

  • Clay can be purchased directly from the studio or from the artist’s preferred source. We only fire cone 6 and below. Please connect with us for firing temp approval if you purchase clay outside of the studio.

    • Clay is available from the studio at $20 per 25 pound bag

    • We assess a firing fee of $15 per bag whether you purchase from us or from another source. The firing fee is assessed separately as this is a service and not taxable. This helps us save you money!

    • Please note, limits may apply if kiln capacity becomes a challenge. We are a small studio and cannot extend membership to artists doing high volume production runs.

  • The studio stocks many commercial glazes; members have the option of purchasing their own glazes, or utilizing community commercial glazes.

    • If you choose to use studio glazes, we charge a $15 glaze fee per 25 pound bag of clay. This is is assessed separately as this is a service and not taxable. This helps us save you money!

    • The studio does not currently offer dip glazes, but members may mix their own if they choose. All glazes must be properly tested. Please connect with us if you would like to explore mixing your own glazes.

  • Members can choose studio firings or to load and fire their own work, pending kiln availability. No additional charge for individual firings. You must have enough work to fill at least 75% of the kiln in order to schedule an individual firing. Group member firings are allowed and encouraged. Members may schedule firings via a shared calendar that is shared after sign up. Kiln training is required for anyone interested in firing their own work.

Community

Members are encouraged to submit bios and photos of their work to be featured on the member page. Each month, 2 members are featured in the gallery and given the option of hosting an art opening.

The Haven

Members have an open invitation to attend the 15 minute grounding circle that precedes the student classes on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 6pm. This is held in the The Haven and is an opportunity to drop in, reconnect with your breath, and decompress. Members are welcome in the studio following grounding circle, but may not have access to a wheel. Using this time to glaze or hand build and connect with the greater community is encouraged, but never expected.
